    Affordable Care Act (ACA) Update

On Tuesday, July 2, the Department of the Treasury issued a one-year delay of the employer responsibility payment and insurance reporting requirements under the Affordable Care Act. This delay aims to give businesses, such as Salt Lake County more time to comply with the health care reform law.

What does this mean for me?
    • If you are a Salt Lake County Benefit-eligible employee you will continue to receive benefits as you always have.
    • If you are a Salt Lake County employee that is not eligible for benefits through Salt Lake County, you may be interested in seeking health care coverage through an outside resource.
As more information develops, we will update this web page.
